National treasures John and Edward Grimes, bought the house down on the RTE Saturday night show, The Late Late show, on Friday.

They had viewers in tears with their heartfelt interview and beautiful performance of the REM’s classic ‘Everybody Hurts’, which they dedicated to their late mother, Susanna, who sadly passed away last year.

The twins spoke of their struggles with mental health during the Covid pandemic, with Edward saying he has never felt so low.

John and Edward also pleaded with viewers to wear masks and take Covid precautions to protect the vulnerable. The pair have been spreading their message across twitter in the last few weeks, tackling conspiracy theorists and Covid deniers such as Jim Corr (the bother of the Corrs), Ian Brown, Van Morrison and Noel Gallagher.
