Popstar twins John and Edward Grimes have spoken to BBC Ulsters’ Gerry Kelly about their terrifying ordeal on the Irish coast late last Tuesday night.
The duo explained they had been walking with their young cousin, when they found themselves trapped in sandbanks, with darkness falling and the tide fast encroaching.
They praised the Coastguard for their prompt action and warned people to take care around water.
